being single doesn't mean you are week it means that you are strong enough to wait for what you deserve! -Niall Horan

When the sun used to rise
instead of the lights turning on way above;
         there were  no lies.
There was love.

When there was love
           we were happy;

the laughter in my ears still ring
                 with joy.
Only
there is no joy. There is just a sting
of the heart.
       The reminder is painful
but I would rather remember joyful
times; than forget and not know love.

Even though my love has died
      I will always remember
that he never lied.

The tingly sensation in the pit
of his stomach also lit
mine.
       We felt the same;
when the sun used to rise.

I wrote this piece about a year ago. The poem started out with a different direction but it took a life of its own when I kept on writing and I am very proud of it!
