This flower called America, well groomed
Started as a seed
A freedom seed now fully bloomed

Though it was obvious, the seed was doomed
It tried again to stretch its roots
This flower called America, well groomed

Though the face of disappointment loomed
It fought and fought
A freedom seed now fully bloomed

It was almost dead, almost entombed
But from the struggle it grew stronger
This flower called America, well groomed

The flower grew and then it boomed
Growing high and mighty
A freedom seed now fully bloomed

We showed the world, our country zoomed
Now we are one of the tallest flowers in the garden
This flower called America, well groomed
A freedom seed now fully bloomed
