We fear
The sound of buzz saws whirring and
Snapping twigs
We fear
The sight of falling leaves,
Crumpled and dead.
We fear
The smell of burning wood
Blazing red forest fire.
We are the giant beings,
Mighty and tall,
Strong and beautiful
And we are falling
To the feet of mankind.
