One minute you're here,
The next you're gone.
One lifetime together,
But now you're gone.
Reasons to stay,
Reasons to go,
Reasons to crush me,
Reasons I do not know.

The joy we shared,
The pain aswell.
The love and the guilt,
The powers unknown.
The tenderness of love,
The passion of life,
The guilt we shared,
Amongst the lies and strife.

Those glorious days,
On the sand by the sea.
Those wonderous nights,
Under the stars and in amongst the leaves.
You said I were the reason you woke up every morning,
You said I were the reason you changed who you were.
I know you're the the reason I smiled and laughed,
I know you're the reason I cared deep down in my heart.

Do you remember our song?
The one we sang,
The one which drove you to take my hand.
You completed my life,
I thank you for that.
If only you were here so I could say it to you;
You're my heart, my soul,
Your love was true.

Today is the day I say my final goodbyes,
Today is the day I wipe the tears from my eyes.
I've shed every tear,
I've relived every memory,
I've captured every moment and destroyed all my fear.
I've loved you so much,
My heart is yours, forever more,
Look after it well, I know you will, I'm sure.

One minute you're here,
The next you're gone.
One lifetime together,
But now you're gone.
Reasons to stay,
Reasons to go,
Reasons to crush me,
But you loved me, I know.

The real meaning of this poem is that love doesn't end when somebody dies or they leave you, love is a feeling which usually lasts forever.
