As toasty as the fire exuded from my house to keep me cozy and loved
As icy as sipping sweet tea on the porch during a blistering afternoon
As sincere as a parent’s love for their child or a child’s love for her parents
My sweet devils, what would I do without you?
Your words comfort me in times of desperation
Your advice guides me in times of uncertainty
Your devotion reassures me in times of melancholy
My sweet devils, never leave me for you are all I have.
