Until
WE LAY ON A WAVE OF GREEN PASTURE
LOOKING UP AT A DEEP BLUE BLANKET OF TWINKLES
THE WIND HOWLING NOTES OF SORROW
TREES WHISPER YOUR NAME
THEY WANT YOUR BEAUTY TO GRACE THEM
TO BRIGHTEN THEIR LAST RAY OF LIGHT
WITH THAT SMILE AND THAT SPARKLE IN YOUR EYES
WITH YOUR LAUGH AND VOICE
AND YOUR WIT AND YOUR POISE
BUT THE WORLD WILL HAVE TO WAIT
FOR I CAN NOT LIVE A MOMENT WITHOUT YOUR BREATH OR YOUR LIPS
YOUR TOUCH AND YOUR CURVES AND THE SWAYING OF YOUR HIPS
AND THE WARMTH IN YOUR SOUL NOR THE LOVE IN YOUR HEART
ITS TOO MUCH TO LEAVE, TOO MUCH TO PART
THEY'LL HAVE THEIR TURN NOT SO SOON ENOUGH
BUT THEY SHALL HAVE TO WAIT 'TILL OUR LAST KISS
AND I DON'T EXPECT YOU'LL MOURN MY LOSS
ALTHOUGH RAIN SHALL FLOOD CITIES O'ER YOURS
FOR YOU SHALL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
BY THE WIND AND ITS NOTES OF SORROW
NOR THE TREES THAT WHISPER YOUR NAME
AS WE LAY ON A WAVE OF GREEN PASTURE
LOOKING UP AT A DEEP BLUE BLANKET OF TWINKLES
