Why can't you see?
My smile is fake.
I'm not the real me.
And every day I ache,
Wondering who I am,
No comfort or joy is anywhere
If I could find just a gram
Of hope that you care.

You must figure it out,
I'm not going to tell you.
My silent shout
Is anyone out there who
Can help?

They'll never know.
I hide it all.

The author's comments:
My life is slowly disintegrating because I'm not brave enough to tell anyone my problems. After reading this poem, I hope you can find the courage.
