red nails tap-tap-tap against the marble
as she sighs in frustration
and she brushes back her spiked brown hair
with long fingers adorned in silver rings
as she sighs in frustration
her eyes lift to the door, once, twice
with long fingers adorned in silver rings
she holds her wilting rose
her eyes lift to the door, once, twice
petals fall gently to the hardwood floor
she holds her wilting rose
and how strange it is that her eyes are
kaleidoscopes
petals fall gently to the hardwood floor
fierce pinks, deep reds, and an angry fuchsia
and how strange it is that her eyes are
kaleidoscopes
she closes her eyes tight
fierce pinks, deep reds, and an angry fuchsia
and she brushes back her spiked brown hair
she closes her eyes tight
red nails tap-tap-tap against the marble
