Three more trips until we boarded.
Two more.
One.
I stepped onto the Millennium Force.
Belts tightened,
yellow bar pulled and secured over my head.
My hands clamped onto the cool metal handles,
whole body tensed.

The machine lurched forward, raising my anxiety.
I was tilted up the seemingly never ending slope.
Click clack,
thump thump.
My heart and the tracks sound in time, creating their own symphony.

The crest of the coaster is in my line of vision.
Click clack,
thump thump.
Closer.
Click clack,
thump thump.
Inhale,
exhale.
“Here we go”.

And finally,
plummet.
We soar down the steep decline,
gravity having a weak spell,
as the fall temporarily raised me out of my seat.
We twisted and turned
so quickly my head couldn’t process.
Before I knew it,

the ride
came to an abrupt
halt,
and I had climbed off.
My rambling thoughts set aside,
however,
one thought protruded.
“There was really nothing to worry about after all; that was great!”
