Look Out the Window
Fervently waiting for day's end
With nails on the door
Chains at your feet
Ropes 'round your wrists and
Nowhere to go...
Out the window
Can't you see?
Burning buildings on crimson soil?
So why not...
Take your hammer and
Smash it down
Smash it all to the ground
Look at yourself
Where have you been?
Grab your pails of water
And carry them with all your might
Do not stare at the picture set in front of you
Do not let the shadow of utopia burn into your mind
And tear it off the wall
Take your hammer and
Smash it down
Smash it all to the ground
Don't let the thunderstorms and the clouds fog up your window
Don't let the sight of wilted flowers escape you
Watch the wall crumble
Watch the burning buildings wash away
When the sky clears of smoke and your hands are free of dirt
We'll be free, so until then...
Take your hammer and
Smash it down
Smash it all to the ground
And fervently wait for another day
