Dreaming

It’s like when you wait so long
For that one person
Look to the skies arms uplifted

You stare through the seats
You watch their fingers tap
Wishing you hair was flat

Dreaming to have desired skin...

Pretend that you haven’t wanted it,
For so long
It will be better that way.
As I pry you away, the look keeps fading.
Hold your breath it only lasts a moment

Take a bite of my apple, and look into my shirt
This is what we've all wanted
That’s why it must hurt

Feel the rain fall from the leaves
Taste the sky
It’s a treat

Pretend that you haven’t wanted it
For so long, it will be better that way
As I pry you away, the look keeps fading.
Hold your breath now it only lasts a moment

The leaves they change their colors
You feel them crunch beneath your feet, this pulls you into the river
There you swim, away, forever.

The author's comments:
To me, like many teens, writing is a vent.
a beautiful verbal way of expressing how you feel
i just want people to feel like they can speak their minds, and feel free with words.
they can get away from everything and really become themselves through writing.
