Staring at blank paper tapping my pen,
Hours pass but still no inspiration,
Midnight now and I'm still up in my den,

Written, rewritten and written again,
Eyelids heavy, filled with desperation,
Staring at blank paper tapping my pen,

Trying to write but don't know if I can,
And I let out a long exhalation,
2 o'clock and I'm still up in my den,

Staring at blank paper tapping my pen,
I find I'm in a bad situation,
And now I'm having a brain freeze again,

4 o'clock and I'm still up in my den,
Eyes shift to the wall, no concentration,
Written, rewritten, and written again,

Trying to write but don't know if I can,
I guess I have no imagination,
Time for school and I'm still up in my den,
