I told you,did i not?
But still you spoke
Those few short words
I've grown to hate.
And now that i have failed to answer
You've cast me out into this bare Abyss, to wallow in my own self pity.
But now you've come to rescue me
Except when i look too close, i can See that truly you do not care.
And now that i have seen
What dwells within
I care nothing,
Not a thing
for you or your dreams.
At least thats what i tell myself
Twenty times a day.
But i refuse to be that girl
Who runs back to the hand that
Has bitten her too many times before.
And now even though i know i will pay For this twenty times a day.
If you care for me at all
Try to meet me halfway
And than perhaps i will be able
To answer those few short words
I've grown to care about
