Destiny
The leaves turn colors fast yet subtly
Green to yellow, red, and orange
The trees appear stunning and vivid
It doesn’t last long, in an instant
The leaves are dead and crippled
Scattered across the hard ground
Slowly deteriorating away
What once was beautiful now looks dull and dreary
The trees stand naked and exposed
The time seems prolonged before the new leaves are born
Destined to suffer the same fate
