So Much Depends On

So much depends on security,
For the man with the gun is near.
So much depends on the sun,
For a storm is coming here.
So much depends on a baby’s laugh,
For nothing brings such joy.
So much depends on education,
For every little girl and boy.
So much depends on plants,
For if none, we’d die.
So much depends on the righteous,
For they never lie.
So much depends on animals,
For our dinner ham.
So much depends on me
For being who I am.
