Afternoon Sunrise

Early morning sunlight shines,
into my awakening eyes tis so bright.
Enjoy the tranquility, it doesn't last long.
Early morning Utopia, short lived and long gone.

Afternoon sun high is so misleading.
Open the door to bitter cold.
Gasping moment like this always surprise,
Karma kicks three fold.

About your day 'til evening rest.
Don't worry, no one conceived you as the best.
Tomorrow's early morning sunrise won't make you any better.
You won't have to hide under the paint coats cover.

Evening sunset you missed because of work.
Teenager: overslaved and underpaid.
You've been inside too long to remember the cold.
Everyday's just the same, you forgot your coat.

Depression break, your safe haven.
It comes and goes as it pleases.
Take comfort knowing, it'll soon be over.
You can go back to questions and no reasons.

Early morning sunlight shines
into my awakening eyes, tis so bright.
Enjoy the tranquility, it doesn't last long.
Early morning Utopia, short lived and long gone.

When the light stops shining in your eyes,
and you paint your happy silhouette.
The world keeps going while your dead set.
Depression break, enjoy your early morning's precious gift.

I've been in therapy for depression and anxiety, and one day I just realized that things were getting better.
