Silent Love*

Blinded by all that I am…
Forsaken by all that I am…
Overwhelmed by all that you are…
I adore all that you are…
Our love is more than what their eyes (our eyes) can see.
Is that why, my love, our love can never be?
I watch our memories, speculating from a far…
Far enough so that I can see but not touch what once was.
Wanting what is so near yet so far.
Wanting all that I was…
Wanting all that you are.
And it's true, my love, the tongue kills like a vicious plague that hungers through the night to brake down our innocence.
It left me crippled and broke but I am not dead…
I love you still…
And deep inside of me cries a beat or two of love's innocence.
-you love me still.
Yet, we speak with lies and pour glitter on a darkened mess.
Love, the tongue kills.
Is death worth hiding love…
Is hiding love worth a life of loneliness…
I love you still…
-I'll leave the work up to our hearts; there's nothing left to say…
Remember love, the tongue kills.
Until that clock strikes, I'll live life through memories, marking them day by day…
Yet, you love me still.

*Dedicated to a love, lost, but never forgotten.

My inspiration for this pieace has alot to do with the power of words... especialy when love is on the line because it is in love that even the toughest human becomes vualnrable... My inspiration was the greatness of love and it's impact it can have on a tiny soul... My inspiration was the fact that no matter how young one is... they can never be to young too undergo the greatness of love. But my experiance with love left me with the conclusion that love that big should not be allowed untill after highschool and the teenage years because love can make you or break you... really, really break you- and teenagers face enough damage as it is.. But even then I have to say that love is good and even though I lost, I won :]
