A lion never concerns itself with the opinions of sheep

The catacombs which fill the ground

And spread their filth all around

Are a final place

For the gladiators who lost the race

They battled tigers

And fought ligers

Fell under their teeth

Even when they thought they were out of reach

The iron claws rip into their skin

And rip out their mucled hearts in the end

Their bodies lie in the dust

As the crowd cheers with lust

So in the end when the last ones down

The animals eat in the absence of sound

Once the beast have taken their fill

And head back to their underground build

Then the bones are cleared from sight

Until the next fight

Where the crowds will scream

While the galdiaters heads, from their bodies ream

But the bones from the past

Will always prevail and last

We see the scratches and the bites

From the gladiators' last fights
