Juggling

I am a juggler
I may not be a pro
But I can stand here
And juggle three balls,
School, friends, and family.

All are made of rubber
Thankfully not Glass
Because if I broke a single one,
My life would not be the same.

My family,
Has been with me forever
And they have taught me
Everything,
From how to eat with a spoon
To the difference between right and wrong.
If I dropped this ball,
I know that it will bounce back up,
Because there is nothing I can do without them.

Friends
Have come and gone
But the ones that have stuck around with me
Are the ones I truly value
From having sleepovers,
To crying on each other’s shoulders,
We have always had each other’s back.
And if I dropped this ball,
I know that it will bounce back up,
Because there is nothing I can do without them

School,
Has been in my life since kindergarten
And has given me the education
Which I have always wanted.
From learning multiplication in 2nd grade,
To analyzing poetry in 9th,
It has always worked my brain.
And if I dropped this ball,
I know that it will bounce back up,
Because there is nothing I can do without it

I stand here and juggle these three balls
If what I drop
Is willing to come back to me,
I guess that makes me a pretty good juggler.
