Here with Me
I wish you were here with me...
So I could be looking at your face and not some wall
So I could feel your face and not my phone vibrating to alert me to your messages
So I could feel your warmth and not the bitter cold wind on my back
So I could smell your scent and not the many stale tears on my pillow from all my sleepless nights that I was separated from you
So I could hear your steady breathing not the icy wind howling outside my window
And so I could show you how much I love you in person and not by this poem.
