Deep Down

December 15, 2008

Deep down you want to care
Deep down you want to share
All your feelings you hold inside
Everything trapped in your mind.
People all around you
Telling you what to do
You don't know what to think
Or even if you can speak.
Friends make your choices
Everywhere else there are voices
Telling you what to do
So you can never be you.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this poem, are the people out there, who have friends who tell them what to do, say, think, or speak.
