Why is it so easy to
Go with the flow?
Do what is accepted?
Be what is expected?

Why is it so easy to
Be the one they want?
The kid who's kinda smart,
Who plays a minor part?

Why is it so hard
To be someone unique?
To go my own direction?
To work past my own reflection?

Why is it so hard
To do that which is right?
To act and talk and think I could
Be the person that I should?

It's really just too easy
To mold my life as theirs
To be nothing but a copy
A social replication

It truly is to easy
To hide the truth inside
But as the structure deteriorates
It's harder and harder to hide

The order is gone
Society crumbles
All that's left is me
