These Hills

These hills are my home
no matter where I roam
Though I may walk through cities steep
or in other countries may I sleep
Though I may dip my toes in salty sand
or atop a snowy mountain may I stand
Though seasons change and wars rage
empires fall and children age
These hills are my home
no matter where I roam.

I live in east Tennessee, and I am firm in my belief that there is nothing more beautiful than the mountains in Fall. I have big dreams for my life and want to see the world, but these hills will always, always be my home.
