the lodger has no mouth, or i just did not see,

but he whispers silly little things about the dark parts of my room when everybody else is f***ing,

the lodger he sits behind me on afternoons because he wrote me on a piece of paper "i like the blind"

he has no scent, you see


the lodger always has his eyes closed so i never knew if he really had them,

he does at night but then my eyes were the ones shut and loose

the lodger taps his fingers constantly silently on my door when i read about the walls and sheets decaying on the floor,

he has sewn my shadow on lamps before, and more,
