There is a great divide between us
And you burned the bridge I used to cross.
I don't know why you decided to cut the ropes
But I know obtaining the reason why is a lost hope.

You sailed away and left me standing on the shore
Where I waited until I couldn't see you no more.
Not once did you ever try to turn around.
My cries of desperation became an empty sound.

You left me surrounded in smoke and flame
And it was my silence that you blame.
You ignored all that I tried to do.
You bent back the finger pointed at you.

Now in this barren land I call my home,
I have to adapt to being all alone.
You were the one in which I had the most trust
But now our friendship is nothing but dust.
