I can Fly

By
It was two in the morning
When we got on the plane,
But I sat there nervously
By body cringing in pain.

The engine roared strong
As we reached the moon;
My heartbeats so long
Would calm themselves soon

The plane arrived at our destination
Circling around in the sky
With one smooth deceleration
So scared I thought I’d die.

I unbuckled my seatbelt with ease
Getting up from my warm leather seat
Dad grabbed my luggage with a please
I stepped out into the heat.
