Just Because…
Just because I’m an athlete…
Doesn’t mean I don’t have a life.
Or that I’m better than anybody else.
I’m not trying to show anybody up.
Just because I’m an athlete…
Doesn’t mean all I watch is SportsCenter
Or that my favorite movie is Coach Carter.
I’m not worried if the Twins are winning or not.
Just because I’m an athlete…
Doesn’t mean that you need to be jealous.
Or think that I’m popular.
And I’m not stuck up.
Just because I’m an athlete… see me for who I really am.
