Collapsed Alone

The fire burned in my gut
My red eyes slammed shut
The volcano erupted and shook violently

It sent searing steam blowing
Hot, crushing embers glowing
And I collapsed alone into the darkness

Now cold and scared, feeling nude
An old, rolled-up clump, so crude
How I wished to wake in your arms
