The rats are there
slipping in and out of the tunnels.
A mechanical ghost
a bright light shines.
Slipping in and out of tunnels,
are hollow beasts
a bright light shines
as they thunder out of sight.
Are hollow beasts
the ones I fear? I wonder,
as they thunder out of sight.
Do they know?
The ones I fear, I wonder.
The rats are there;
do they know
a mechanical ghost?
