You have to be willing to sacrifice who you are for what you can become.

I am a Bully

I am a bully,
pushing and shoving,
name calling and just pure cruelty,
I do as I have seen.
There is no shame in my heart.
My only goal is to hurt you and put you in a trance,
I'll make you believe that
you're trapped inside a prison of what we all think,
you are ugly, worthless, repulsive.
If you disappeared nobody would care,
Believe me I was once in your shoes,
I used to be invisible to.
So take this, take that.
I'm going to prove that I have power.
I will never let someone define me again, good or bad.
Believing that I have broke free, yet chained by one destroying key principle.
Reality laughs,
“Welcome to the never ending cycle”
realizing that the negative energy is now theirs to carry
my victim declares,
Now I am a bully as well.

The Chain Reaction

Heal the world,
believe you can
take a chance and make the change
we all play a part, we all have a role.
A little hard work and persistence,
ambitious spirits that never give up,
that's all it will take;
acceptance and love,
a resolution to what's seen as a never ending cycle.
Take everybody for who they are,
we all have flaws, they don't define us.
Everybody is beautiful in their own way.
Show respect, embrace your importance,
in a warm hug,
a gentle smile,
a random act of kindness,
Standing up for someone in need, extending a hand,
understanding the power within us,
Sharing positive vibes,
spreading joy to all encountered.
A chain Reaction.

The author's comments:
I took the idea of juxtaposition poetry, meaning the opposite of each other and side by side, and combined it with revere poetry. I did this to prove a point. In the first poem 'I am a Bully' if you read it regular it is about being a bully, and if you read it in reverse, it's about how the victim turns into the bully. That poem is juxtaposed to the poem 'The Chain Reaction' because it's purpose is to prove that if you send positive energy into the world and treat everyone with respect, you will create more and more of it. Either poem can be read forward or backward. My sole purpose is to provide insight into the idea of treating people how you want to be treated and making the world a better place. I know a lot of people who were affected by bullying themselves and have now resulted to being very mean about others. I want that to stop. I believe in a better world.
