Distance

Its like she couldn’t hear me,
The vibrating, pulsating walls and she couldn’t get to me.
I was locked inside my thoughts.
Trapped within the white walls
I never hated her, nor could I say I loved her.
She looked at me with, I wish you were…
Beautiful
Grateful
Skinner
Smarter.
Everything but yourself.
I looked with her with, lost contentious hope.
Young inadequacy,
Faithless optimism,
I was only perfect from the outsiders looking in.
I loved you mom
How come you didn’t love me back?
