Making it, out of this prarie life

But what does it take to make it in a world like this these days?
What does it take?
Does it take me?
Because standing here today,
I miss the ocean.
I'm so lost in the flat empty prarie town.
I get lost somehow.
This prarie town is huge
and empty.
What would it take for me to make the move
to a city by the sea.
The sea where I can finally be lost in a full sense.
Not in this
empty
prarie town
thats only full of empty dreams.

Wow. Poetry Goddess is in the hizouse. She's pretty fantastic. And to think that once she gets her butt out of this prairie town, she's takin' me along too :) In short, brilliant work.
