A box
A box
on a shelf by my bed.
An old dusty shoe box, lays on a shelf by my bed.
it catches my eye-
once in a while.
I star- thoughts reeling through my mind.
Reminded of whats inside
Everythings okay
I push the thoughts away
For memories of my past lay hidden away
deep inside- that old box.
-letters, pictures, old friends; good friends..-
I wonder has it all really been put to an end. How could it be friendships once so dear to me, now just memories.
I miss it
although its no longer
I say goodbye, to the past
I cherish the good moments; learn from the bad.- Look toward the future,
-I try harder, do better, love more-
Everythings always twisting and turning. Ive done some learning, whats done is done.
Theres a box
on a shelf by my bed.
And thats all there is to be said- about the box on the side of my bed.
The rest,
stays in my head.
