As I sit in the brightly lit room
I sit at my desk, looking around
I steal a glance at you
I look away
Out the window
At the trees
With their leaves changing color
To their beautiful shades of red and orange
Set against the patterns of brown
I look back at you
We lock eyes
My heart flutters
You look away this time
With a hint of a smile on your pretty face
I look at my hand
Whose blood running through is hot
Burning with the desire to touch you
