Tears For You

Sometimes I just lie in my bed and cry.
I cry tears that are for you and everything you ever did.
Tears of joy.
Tears of anger.
Tears of love.
Tears of hatred.
The way you treated me when I did nothing wrong.
But still, every night, you caused new tears to stain my cheeks.
Tears of delight.
Tears of pain.
Tears of passion.
Tears of disgust.
I ask myself why I stay and put up with it.
I stay because you just might make it up to me.
So sometimes I can't stop the tears (so many tears)
Tears of joy.
Tears of love.
Tears of delight.
Tears of passion.
You yell at me and say that you hate me for who I am.
I can't, and won't, stop being the way I was made to be.
And I can never stop the tears (so many tears)
Tears of anger.
Tears of hatred.
Tears of pain.
Tears of disgust.
All these different tears have run down my face.
So many times they have blurred my vision.
My tears are my own, but they're not always real.
I don't let you see the tears that you cause.
I hate being weak in your eyes.
So all you see of me is someone fake.
Someone who tries so hard to be perfect...
So hard to be something that I'll never achieve.
