Illumination

October 13, 2008
By Griffin Dellaverson, Los Angeles, CA

The rustling of ball gowns diminishes to noiseless movement,
the other couples twirl silently out of existence,
the brilliant shine of chandelier lighting wains to a tantalizing dim:
I see only you
and I hear only your breath,
Dancing with you is

incredible.

This short poem was inspired by a song called 'Lost Without You', written and performed by Josh Viete. I consider it an example of breathtaking affection- How do you interpret it?
