Soul Mates
If I say when
And you ask where
And we clasp hands before adieu
From land of shadows, dreams, and hopes to come
I shed no pain and bear no tears
For loss of shadows brings
Only light of truth.
But if I catch just a glimpse of you
‘Round the bend of shadow’s realm
And abandon dreams of you
For earth’s most desperate need
Will you still come,
Flying ‘cross the realms of space and time,
Guided by the passion of my soul
As prayers extend from gritty earth to silken sky?
