Poppy, red
Uniform, green
Sounds of a firing machine

People dying all around
they did it for our country
but still some got called cowards

The ones which survived are awarded medals but nothing can cure what those strong, brave men witnessed in them vivid battles.

This is good, it's short and to the point. The only thing I would suggest changing is in the second to last line where it says "them". I think this is just a type and it should be changed to "the" or "their" , but if you are meanign for it to say "them" I think you should change it to "themselves".
