Innocent Corruption (Out of Ink)

October 17, 2008
By Savannah Carlstrom, Davenport, IA

Paint the walls white
Then scribble them black
The markers run out of ink
Take a seat on the floor
Crying blue tears of joy
It's so relieving to have time to think
Stormy days always thunker
But it never reached us
Before the clouds started to sink
It's certainly not for everyone
You'll never know till you try-
The type of thing best said with a wink
I'll keep spewing these thoughts
Till inspiration runs dry
Or my pen runs out of ink...
