signs of departure billow
BEFORE
we’re ready
twilight reflect[ing] a purplish gloss
thick fog fall[s] short of November
A gardener[‘s] eyes
Scanning
the forest
smoothly
flows sand through the hour glass
DESTINY in sight
soon but NOT tomorrow
white pines will reincar[nate]
soon but NOT tomorrow
safer we will be
soon but NOT tomorrow
September nights
will pierce defenseless[ly]
realize we must
make the most of
precious days
