Prowling through the tall grass, eyes in a constant stare
Reaching every outstretched paw claws moving through the air
Every step signifying a smaller distance from my prey
Dreaming of the feast I would have if only I could get my way
Acknowledging the complexity of this sought out game
Tracing the footsteps of what I want to maim
Overthinking this hunt, I step on a stick
Realizing I am watching, the prey runs with a kick
A distraction occurs, a whirling wind through my mane
No more, I think, I have to catch this thing
Darting through the weeds and never looking back
Pushing myself to the fullest to get the ultimate attack
Running and jumping, it trips on itself
Every mistake it makes puts its life on a shelf
Yearning and pining to take my first bite, I finally got it! Now I can write!

I used this acrostic poem to explain how I write. The spacing is odd so it may not look like an acrostic poem.
