Once, upon a hill, a star arose
Unlike any other ever seen by human eyes
Many people saw this star,
This star which shone so bright
It outshone all the other stars that shone that night.
A new-born star, perhaps a sign?
You could drink its light as you would wine.
And all who saw this star above
Felt glad, as if touched by Love
Which came from the star, from its great height
And so it shone, but only for a night.

Once again, upon a hill, a star rose
Unlike any other ever seen by human eyes
Many people saw this star
This star which was not bright.
It was the only star in the sky that sad, sad night.
A dying star, perhaps a sign?
It shone a dark red, like blood, or wine.
And all who saw this star above
Felt glad, as if touched by Love
Which came from the star, from its great height
And so it shone, but only for a night.

Once, upon a hill, a star rose
Unlike any other seen by human eyes
Many people saw this star,
This star which shone so bright,
It outshone all the other stars that twinkled that night.
A new-born star, perhaps a sign?
You could drink its light as you would wine.
And all who saw this star above
Felt glad, as if touched by Love
Which came from the star, where it shone on gloriously
And so it shone, and still shines, for all eternity.
