The flame in the candle

The flame in the candle
Slowly and steadily as I lighted the candle,
I thought of all the consequences that I'll go through and handle,
With all the optimistic thoughts that entered my mind, heart and soul,
I looked at the flame, it looked like melting gold.

The shadows of the dark water I saw no more,
As I stared and stared at this golden ore,
Full of divine glory, it shined all the time,
Never saw such beauty, my heart felt with pride.

More beautiful than the sky and the marine it shined,
It turned my home into a holy shrine,
So peaceful up here, it burned with all it's freedom,
To replace the darkness, here came the light of wisdom.

Fast blew the wind, still the flame continued to burn,
God's picture I could see, the whole universe it could turn,
Lord's name I chanted, as I closed my eyes,
Felt like my soul has returned back to my heavenly paradise.

One by one as I lighted all the candles,
Suddenly felt like, I saw lord's sandals,
The blessings were showered, the shrine was blessed,
For all the sins I committed, I finally confessed.

Every time I look at the flame, I begin to have very positive feelings about my life and myself. It gives me hope and makes me feel the presence of my lord.It gives me a lot of strenght and makes me feel very ambitious.I look at the flame in the candle as I pray to God.The beauty of the flame has inspired me to write this poem.

These words are so gentle and very heartening. To me you have a talent beyond an artist. You masterly write down words and create a picture inside ones mind. Keep your imagination to fly sky high. You have a sweet and keen way with words. Bravo my dear friend Great use of words made this a very enjoyable read. Very well done.

yes Sneha.... now I know the sound of silence.
