Not much time to think

Hearing the countdown from the stands
Watching the clock shrink
The ball is in my hands
Searching for my nearest and dearest fans
Wondering when our eyes will link
Not knowing where it will land
Jumping in my Nike brands
Trying not to blink
The ball is in my hands
Shooting the ball is what I planned
Everyone is on the brink
Not knowing where it will land
I must follow everyone’s demand
As I watch the ball sink
