“I'm not lost for I know where I am. But however, where I am may be lost."
-A.A Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

There was a time where I had trust,
It was a nice world I lived in because trust is a must,
But events started happening and information was kept,
The only thing I could rely on was many tears when I wept,
Those were tough days, when my trust began slipping away,
No reason to smile, no reason to laugh,
What was it worth, if I didn't get the truth back?
But days after days I found my trust,
Buried in sadness and covered in dust,
Now I keep it close, under lock and key,
So never again, will my trust leave me

The author's comments:
I was assigned to do a writing exercise on something I had lost and then found. As I was in a deep place at that time material objects weren't the first things that came to my mind but rather my core values I'd let slip away. Thus this poem was born:)
