Autumn Awakenings and Winter Revelations MAG
Once you see
October
shine
You never weep
again
Only once you
realize
it has again
been sent
away
Opal glistens
in the fog
of an
Autumn
evening
or a Spring
afternoon
The calendulas
sway with the wind
While the people prepare
their ghostly
gathering of cloth
and bright
full moons
Eight little children
run by
with their bags
of sweetness
and bitter joy,
along to their chilly
rooms
And once you see
the yellow month
floating and skipping by
remember – you will
never again
feel the
gray, pale, cloudy October
sky.
