Then, Now, Someday

Music inspires dreams --
to hope for something more.
It inspires two souls to meet,
there destinations undetermined.
It creates emotion like anger and rage
with its light, airy melodies.

Music inspires dreams --
to hope for something different.
It inspires change in individuals.
who haven't paved their way.
It creates emotion like confusion and optimism
with its enchanting, interpretive melodies.

Music inspires dreams --
to hope in the everlasting.
It inspires a duet to continue,
with past, present, and future in mind.
It creates emotions like happiness and joy
with its angelic, tranquil melodies.

The author's comments:
The entire poem has meaning from start to finish. It is about finding that "someone" -- you want more at the beginning, and you realize later you want something different to better suit you then you find what you are looking for and want it to last forever. At the beginning the destination for this person is unclear and it continues that way until the end where they use there knowledge from past, present, and future as a guild to keep there dream alive. The music creates anger at first when they are happy with the end result, it then creates confusing when they are unsure of the difference they long for and at the end they find joy when the path that "music" has taken them on leads to their hopes and dreams becmoming a reality.
