Favorite Quote:
"According to some, heroic deaths are admirable things. (Generally those who don't have to do it. Politicians and writers spring to mind.) I've never been convinced by this argument, mainly because, no matter how cool, stylish, composed, unflappable, manly, or defiant you are, at the end of the day you're also dead. Which is a little too permanent for my liking." — Jonathan Stroud (Ptolemy's Gate)

She says, “You’re the strongest one I know”
As I fight to survive, waiting for Superman

She calls me “hero” because she doesn’t see
The bottles and nightmares, the memories
As I fight to survive, waiting for Superman

I used to be proud, brave - but now
The bottles and nightmares, the memories

Don’t lean on me, I can’t hold myself
I used to be proud, brave - but now
I can’t stomach being anybody’s Superman

They once said I was special, but I don’t know now
A broken soldier more at home with enemies
Can’t even remember how to survive peace and quiet

She calls me “hero” because she doesn’t see
Me realize there is no Superman, it’s just me. But still
She says, “You’re the strongest one I know”
