So calm its almost unreal,
the floor of a glass house.
three..two..one
she dives, eyes open.
Before impact, she is blind
anything could happen…
The glass is shattered
all serenity is broken--on the surface
She...she is at peace
Her soul awakes, relieved
stress departs, insecurities vanish
just her...and the rippling stillness
She is silent, standing tall in the center;
all around her, order is restored
arms around her stomach,
as if to hold the heat inside...
Carefully, cautiously… she leaves,
drops of impossible perfection streaming down her body
searching for home.
Walking away, she sighs--she is free, for now.
Looking back, all is as it was before
the glass floor flawlessly mended;
as if she was never there...
