I count the telephone poles between us
The miles, every wire
magnetic
electric
Much like the nerve fibers
in our bodies
Relaying messages
to our minds
I wish we could be telepathic
To talk without telephones
Electrical tape
can't maintain our vibe
Still we shock
those who do not know
how to live intensely
